Description:
The Aviation Maintenance Training school is looking for a highly motivated individual with the willingness to perform a wide array of jobs required at the lab locations in the Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) program. This position is a physically demanding job that will require the applicant to be familiar with general housekeeping & organization of hangars, classrooms, and storage areas. The applicant will need transportation and be willing to travel between lab locations at the Cedar City Airport, Align/Syberjet facility, and AMT faculty building.
- Responsible for cleaning hangars, entryways, hallways, classrooms.
- Cleaning floors includes sweeping, vacuuming, washing, and moping.
- Emptying and removing trash from garbage cans inside hangars & labs.
- Ensuring that all lights are turned off and doors are secured after completing cleaning duties.
- Responsible for completing all assigned duties as directed, and capable of working without specific direction.
- Assisting in setting up furniture and equipment for special events as scheduled by the University.
- Reporting any problems, damage, or building repairs needed to supervisor immediately.
- Requesting needed custodial supplies and restocking supply closet. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Requires understanding of custodial procedures, supplies, and equipment.
- Ability to operate assigned equipment.
- Must be customer-oriented.
- Ability to lift up to 50-lbs , bend, crawl, and/or reach.
- Understanding of English for general communication.
- Capable of understanding instructions both verbally and in writing, and able to listen and ask clarifying questions as needed.
- Must complete safety and equipment usage training upon hire.
- Must be thorough, motivated, and detailed oriented.
